| Name: 常陸院 馨 (Hitachiin Kaoru) Race/Ethnicity: Human/Japanese Age: 16 Gender: Male Sexuality: Homosexual Appearance: Kaoru is a tall and handsome sixteen year old male, About 5'10"; tall and lean just like his brother. His skin is naturally pale-white, looking more like porcelain (the expensive kind) more than anything else. His golden-brown eyes are sharp; yet they are mostly soft and kind, opening and delightful. His orange-red hair is parted to the left, one of the differences between him and his twin brother, Hikaru. It's almost impossible to tell the two apart, except for hair parts, and voice. Kaoru has a light and airy voice, happy and upbeat to contrast his brother's voice. The Hitachiin twins resemble their famous fashion designer mom more than their father; almost clones of her. Kaoru's fashion sense is one of the best around, wearing lighter clothes than his brother to be a contrast. (It seems as if he favors cream colors.) He looks fabulous in his clothes at all times; and never wears something horrible to clash with his well-kept appearance that never fades. Personality: Being the younger twin; Kaoru's actually a level nicer than his brother. He has his share in calculating pranks, yet he's more of the type you go to talk to about problems, when Hikaru isn't the type that would listen. Kaoru's genuine and caring for all of his friends, loyal and there for them through thick and thin. He's relativly normal when apart from his brother; but if he goes too long without him, he may get a bit antsy. They're hardly ever apart and being without each other makes the boy worry. He does tend to over-think things a little too much, which isn't always a good thing to be doing. He wishes the best for his older twin; and will stop at nothing to make him happy. In the Host Club, he holds the roll of 'uke' -- the submissive, bottom, feminine of a shounen-ai relationship -- in the Brotherly Love Act. At home, he cares deeply for his brother; sleeping in the same bed as Hikaru since it is routine, something they have done since they were little. Even though Kaoru's nicer; he can still be a snarky devil. He's actually more innocent, as well. (Maybe it's his uke role rubbing off on him). He displays more emotion security and confidence than Hikaru. He's more stable the department concerning his feelings, and it's harder to figure it out on how he's feeling. He knows what he feels though; but he may not always voice it. He's not as loud and rambunctious as Hikaru; he's more content and happy. He also knows how to control his temper, unlike his twin. Kaoru just wants to broaden his brother's horizons and he is determined to do so, seeing as he hopes it'll make him happy. He'll even risk being isolated by himself in the world of 'us', seeing that is how much he loves his brother. Abilities/Weaponry: Kaoru does not have any weapons, sadly. His abilities...are almost none, too. Though he is a very good actor; if that accounts for anything. Weaknesses: Kaoru's weaknesses is mainly strength. He's not much of a fighter; seeing as he's rich and there's no need to fight. (Also most likely because he's the nicer of the twins, he wouldn't fight as much). His other weakness is actually his brother. He'd do anything to please his brother, and even though it's not a life-threatening weakness; it still accounts for something, seeing as he probably would give up his life for Hikaru. He's also weak against anything stronger, and it seems he has a fear of snakes. His weaknesses are more physical than mental, seeing as he isn't strong; but he is mentally. (At least stronger than Hikaru). Not much has threatened him to get stronger; therefore he's pretty weak if he would need to put up a fight. He would attempt to, however; and at least he wouldn't give up completely. Unless he was scared stiff, of course. History: (Deriving Kaoru from the anime, since I do not like the manga for probably obvious reasons.) Kaoru Hitachiin is the younger of the Hitachiin twins, born just a few minutes after his brother. Ever since that day they were born; they have been together; and shall always remain so. His parents are famous for what they do; therefore they weren't around so much. When they were little; their maids and nannies didn't necessarily like the twins; seeing as they were always cunning little devils that loved to play pranks on others. Always seen hand in hand; the boys were rarely ever separated. If they were; they were bound to get back sooner or later. Around that time, they slept in the same bed as well; not even growing out of the habit at the age of sixteen. (And when you look at such a habit, it's quite...erm...odd). They loved to break the rules, and the also love anything fun. Anything boring and the two discard it. Kaoru; however, was always the more nice one; the one who tried to boost Hikaru's mood up if he was down. Around the time they entered middle school; two worlds approached the twins. The world of "us" and the world of "them". The world of "us" consisted of only two people; Hikaru and Kaoru. They made sure their grip on each other was tight; that their bond was unbroken no matter what. The world of "them" was everyone else in the world. Everyone who was stupid and weren't allowed into their world. They were isolated in middle school; only needing each other. The two didn't have any friends at all, but that was okay. They had each other. No one mattered to them; and no one ever did. However, their views started to change when Tamaki Suoh entered the picture. The young blonde persuaded the twins to join the Host Club. However; they at first denied his request, seeing as they didn't like the concept. They didn't care about anyone; so why should they join? However, they made a deal. If Tamaki could guess correctly on "Who's Hikaru-Kaoru-kun Game", then maybe they'd consider it. Such a game was if anyone could tell the identical twins apart. It has been impossible and even their own Aunt got them mixed up. Tamaki guessed wrong, yet the twins gave him chances. Finally; Kaoru said it didn't sound like a bad idea. Maybe expanding their horizons is what they needed; to stop the foolish game of "us" versus "them". Kaoru loved the world of "us", but he knew Hikaru might think differently. He didn't want to keep Hikaru chained to his side; so they finally agreed. In the end they both opened the door to the Host Club, where their lives changed forever. They become more open; more welcoming to others. However; they still held onto their strong grip between a brotherly bond. Their roles in the Host Club was to please the "boys love" fans, the females they supported boys love. Hikaru took on the role of the dominant; the seme twin, while Kaoru was the uke. Their Forbidden Brotherly Love Act was a hit, and everyone loved the way they communicated. Suggestions were flying about that they did inappropriate stuff at home, but do they really? No, they don't. Around that time; a female in their class (1-A) entered the Third Music Room. Fujioka Haruhi; the one that changed everything. She knew who was Hikaru; and who was Kaoru. Automatically, they warmed up to her; affectionately calling her their toy. Hikaru started to get feelings for Haruhi...and Kaoru knew it. He supported Hikaru, seeing as it made him happy; even if Hikaru didn't realize how he felt. Kaoru wants Hikaru to be happy; and he'll even isolate himself all alone in the crumbling world of "us"; just so Hikaru can be apart of "them". Their bond is still a strong one; and will probably be reaffirmed again. Yet everything changed on a fatal night as the Hitachiin's were coming back from visiting their mom and dad's friends for dinner. Someone grabbed Kaoru by the arm, a stranger of unknown name or identity; and whisked the younger Hitachiin away before he could say a word. He was knocked unconcious and woke up in the park of Allupato. He doesn't remember how he arrived in such a place; all he knows is that he is alone. Of course he's afraid; more than ever. But can he survive the monsters lurking in the darkness of the alley is a mystery. It's a new chapter for the young Hitachiin twin; and he's thinking the ending won't be a happily ever after. Maybe the carriage will turn into a pumpking in the end, after all. |
